I don't know why she moved there.  I tried to talk her out of it.

I saw it on a magazine cover back in NYC in '79.  The lush green corporate grass .. "the streets paved with gold" for their engineers.  Yeah, sure. "30 years of shoolin' and they put you on the day shift"  ..  stuffing circuit boards.  It might as well be horses.

I've known it all my life.  But I figured it all out only a year ago.  I'm a Writer.  I've taken my vows of poverty.  Involuntarily.  So we're stuck with this crap. 
Yeah, I did all the right things.  Got my BSEE, first design "Best Product of the Year" et. al.
